Friday Field Notes: 3/7/2025
Happy Friday, folks.
Spent a lot of time automating things this week.
My content creation process so I can more quickly get my ideas onto the page.
My meeting agendas for clients so I can roll into meetings with everything already lined up.
My new client onboarding tasks like creating folders and cloning docs.
It’s crazy how much time you can save with some well-thought-out workflows and AI.
Yet, I see so many agencies trying to automate away their actual job.
Let AI and automations free you up to do the work you’re best at. That’s how you truly differentiate with your delivery.
Lessons Learned This Week:
1. Friction Points Are Growth Opportunities
Business is a giant game of finding problems, solving them, then finding the next.
When you get good at spotting friction points, you start seeing opportunities everywhere.
2. The Biggest Threat to Your Business is Indecision
I harp on the importance of decision-making a lot.
I had two agencies I’m working with stuck in indecision. This, on its own, wasn’t a big deal until they realized they missed out on multiple opportunities because of it.
Often, just making a decision is better than doing nothing.
3. Your Network is a Cheat Code for Growth
My network is awesome.
And this week was another reminder that who you know is more important than what you know.
Be deliberate in your networking. It’ll lead to more opportunities than you think.
Event I’m Promoting:
We’re gearing up for the next All-In Agency Summit.
Visit this post so you can tag someone you’d like to see on stage. Or tag yourself.
